Sony VAIO VGN-AR230G 17" Laptop Review
Sony VAIO VGN-AR230G 17" Laptop Review from penrod Deb. wacky touchpad on Vaio, I bought this Sony because of my total frustration with the Dell website and futile efforts to buy online. By comparison the Sony website is terrific, streamlined and made it supereasy and fast to get the computer with features that I wanted. I have enjoyed all aspects of this laptop except the touchpad. I assumed “I” was the problem. Last evening after I had a nervous breakdown shrieking and screaming at the wacky computer, my husband told me look online for problems with the “touchy” touchpad. Sure enough, others have reported the same experience. You can type away and unbeknownst to you the touchpad has sent your cursor to another part of the page, garbling words, meanwhile you keep typing away none the wise until you stop and read the gibberish you have created, it really slows production. For internet surfing brush the touchpad and you page forward or backward without intending to. Glad to learn others are experience the same problem, guess I won’t need that straightjacket, maybe just a new laptop.
